The Sunset Playhouse School for the Arts Children's Theatre bug in a rug series is an interactive experience for the whole family, targeted for children ages 3-8. bug in a rug theatre is a casual and fun introduction to the performing arts where laughter and audience participation are strongly encouraged.
Each performance has a theme and educational points targeted for this age group. Everyone is invited to come dressed in pajamas, and bring along blankets, pillows and stuffed animals to snuggle in for a great time at all of our performances.

In this Sunset Playhouse original musical, a groundhog, bunny, chicken, and some funny sheep come together to help each other learn a little about themselves. They learn that being happy, having friends, and trusting in yourself are the greatest bits of wisdom. Jar of Wisdom was written by long-time Sunset volunteer and supporter, Scott Kopischke.

Song and Dance ManAdapted from the Caldecott Medal awarded book by Karen Ackerman, our tale tells a sweet story about the importance of family and its rich history. Two children follow their grandpa into his attic and in the most forgotten section of that dusty room, there is an old trunk.
