This classic children’s book comes to life at Sunset Playhouse with a folk music spin.  This delightful tale of the greatest optimist of all time...  Pollyanna is a true treasure.  It’s the story of how a little girl’s faith in her father’s promise — that you can find something good about anything that happens — guides her steadfastly through all circumstances in her life.  A variety of boys and girls characters help to bring this story to life.  Camp participants will learn about auditioning and then audition for our musical (everyone is cast.)  Next, participants will hone their acting, singing and dancing skills and have a lot of fun rehearsing the production.  Participants will also have the opportunity to design and build costumes, props, and set pieces.  Finally, we will perform our production of Pollyanna on Saturday for family and friends.

In this class you will learn the “rules” of improv, and you will practice the skills that make an improvised scene really click.  This class is designed to build confidence and foster creative thinking through the art of improvisation.  Students will highlight their favorite improvisation games for our final showcase.
