This foundation class is the perfect introduction to the world of theater.  Students will use theater games and exercises to explore the basics of acting while learning ensemble-building skills and gaining self-confidence.  We’ll go on a grand adventure through classic fairy tales and expand our ability to tell a story using the tools of every actor: our voice, body, and imagination.  Students will perform a play for family and friends on the last day of class.

Stage It! Comedy (Ages 9 - 11)

Ages 9 – 11 yr      Mondays 5:45 – 6:45        $81

Create your own play from your imagination, adding music or dance and a good dose of humor.  Students will explore the basics of acting – warmups, stage directions, voice, movement, and improvisation while learning ensemble-building skills and gaining self-confidence.  Theater games, improvisation, and a variety of writing exercises will allow students to also explore the role of the writer in theater.  Students will then apply these skills to perform an original play on the last day of class.
