You can’t fault a girl for trying, but Charity Hope Valentine might be guilty of trying a little too hard. Charity is hoping to be loved so much that she can’t see the forest through the trees. She searches for the perfect guy, all the while singing, dancing, and dreaming with her girlfriends as a Times Square dance hall girl. This wonderful song and dance extravaganza includes show stoppers like Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now, and There’s Gotta Be Something Better than This and is bound to fill the Furlan Auditorium with big time Broadway Pizzazz.
Sweet Charity
Costumes were generally very bad. Charity's dress was horrible. Wigs were very bad. Stage setting was very good. Actor playing Oscar was great.
Sweet Charity
All of us loved it.Keep up the good work!
Sweet Charity
The play was excellent and were the performers! "Hey Jude" keeps running through my mind today. The only thing that disappointed me was the end, but that's the way it was written. I wanted them to get married!!
Joanne
The actors were great. Charity was awesome! Great voice great expression. Her boyfriend was very good too. The story itself was alright. The first part was very good. The second part was a bit disappointing how it unfolded. It was a bit more drawn out. I know this has to do with the play itself. Acting however was good Thanks a lot for the parking lot.
Sweet Charity
Absolutely wonderful musical! Four of us went on Saturday night. I have told three other friends and we are going to see it next week-end. The gal that plays Charity Hope Valentine does a fantastic job. Definately a MUST-SEE.
Sweet Charity
What a fun and entertaining production. I loved the wit and humor through out the show. I enjoyed the songs within the production and the dancing was great. Favorite performer would be Helene, WHAT a voice and presence.
Sweet Charity is a SMASH!
The best show of the season! If the entire cast hadn't done such an amazing job, Katherine Duffy would have stolen the show. Every voice was exceptional and each member pulled me right into the story. I didn't want it to end! The live orchestra did a wonderful job making all the difference in the quality of the show over a recorded track. Thanx for that! As always the staging and costumes were beautifully done. We're very lucky to have such a talented group of people making these shows top notch. I'm really looking forward to next season.
WOW
The show was wonderful. The actors did a wonderful job. The dancing was great, the props were wonderful, the singing was amazing but I hope Charity is okay, she took a nasty fall. I brought my mom for her 78th birthday and she also LOVED the show.
