Most shows rehearse 4-5 weeks (Mon. - Fri., usually 7-10 PM) and run for 4 weekends, Thurs. - Sunday.
DAMN YANKEES, the devilish musical with book by Douglass Wallop and George Abbott - Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd trades his soul to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race.
AUDITION DATES FOR "DAMN YANKEES"
SUNSET PLAYHOUSE announces continuing auditions for select roles in their summer musical, DAMN YANKEES. These continuing auditions will take place on Tuesday, May 20, from 7-10 pm at the Playhouse, 800 Elm Grove Rd.
Select roles are available for three child actors between ages 8-12 and actors from late teens to their 60s.
Bring 32 bars of sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Be ready for some movement and be prepared for readings from the script.
The show will be directed by Bryce Lord, with musical direction by Donna Kummer and choreography by Melissa Bloch-Meier.
Rehearsals begin June 2, usually 7-10 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekend times. Show dates are July 11 through August 3, Thursdays through Sundays.
