SYNOPSIS
At a mental hospital in the great Northwest, Nurse Ratched reigns over a ward of "chronics" and "acutes" with calculating dominance. Repeat offender, Randall McMurphy, seeking escape from the drudgery of the work farm, feigns insanity to serve his sentence in relative comfort. Soon a battle of wits and will ensues as McMurphy is driven to "awaken" the other patients to their plight and inspire their revolt. This cat and mouse game threatens to overturn the regime, but who will pay the price?
